Cabin Description:  At Jewell Hollow Cabin near Luray, VA, you will enjoy a picturesque retreat with 40 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Nestled in a clearing in the woods is the Civil War era rustic two story cabin surrounded by trees.

Jewell Hollow Cabin is the perfect place to get away from the stress of everyday life and to enjoy nature. The pond and the creek are just steps away from the front door. What a special place for a romantic getaway or a family vacation! The property borders the Shenandoah National Park and is only minutes from the famous vistas of Skyline Drive and hundreds of miles of hiking trails, the restaurants, and other Park facilities.

At the heart of Jewell Hollow Cabin is a Civil War era, two-story, hand-hewn log cabin. Over the years additions have been made to create the present accommodations.

•     Log walled dining room with a picture window

•     Fully equipped kitchen with everything you will need to prepare delicious homemade meals

Activities: 

•     Skinny dip in the quarter acre, spring fed pond

•     Fish off the dock or explore the property

•     Explore the woods all the way to the top of the ridge. There is an awesome view for you to enjoy.

•     Stroll and wade Pass Run Creek (bring your creeking shoes)

•     Visit Luray Caverns, Skyline Drive, George Washington National Forest, and New Market Battlefield Museum

•     Enjoy hiking and horseback riding in Shenandoah National Park (540-999-3500)

•     Golf at the Caverns Country Club

•     Visit antique shops, flea markets and local auctions

•     Fish, canoe or tube on the Shenandoah River

•     Swim at Lake Arrowhead (sand beach)

Reservations:

50% deposit due upon reservation. Balance, plus 10.5% tax, due 14 days prior to check-in. Credit or Debit cards accepted through Pay-Pal also checks are accepted. Deposit is fully refundable with 14 days notice. Check-in time after 4 PM, check-out time by 11 o'clock.
